Some ways to use Handwritingbot:

  • Students type or dictate their own writing, listen to the words played back then copy the animations of how to form each letter.
  • Teacher/parent creates a piece of writing with their child for them to copy independently.
  • Integrate handwriting into spelling lists, study topics, etc. which students can work through at their own pace by adjusting the animation speed.
  • Instantly send animations to groups/individual children for differentiated instruction such as incorrectly formed letters and numbers or words they misspell.
  • Whole class or small group handwriting instruction. Have students trace the letters in the air before copying the letters while you rove.
  • Start a writing session with a whole class opening sentence as a prompt.
